REALTORS® Wishing Well...for Maui Students"
It is time for Phase II of the Lahainaluna Dorm Renovation Project!!
The Wishing Well team on the West Side will be back at it again from March 21 - April 4. The scope of the project includes tearing down the mail room and rebuilding a new computer lab; installing new electrical as necessary; painting the walls; replacing the floor of the computer lab and installing new carpet and baseboards in the living area. They are aiming to have the project finished by the time student return to school from Spring Break.
Though they are very excited to get started, they still need the following: An electrician to move the wiring from the wall being torn down and install new outlets if necessary after the rebuild; a flooring contractor to lay the carpet; volunteers to paint and clean up; paint, rollers and tape; anyone who has a power washer they are willing to lend for cleaning the outside; and sponsors for lunch during the two week period.

LAHAINA, MAUI, HAWAII -- March 13, 2009 - Wishing Well Program Continues Renovation of Lahainaluna Dorms. The Realtor® Association of Maui¹s (RAM) Wishing Well Program will begin Phase 2 of their Lahainaluna High School Dorm Renovation Project March 21 through April 4, 2009 by converting the mail room in the boy¹s dormitory into a new computer lab. RAM developed the OEWishing Well¹ Program to fulfill their mission of the education and development of young children by providing enhanced funding and items needed to Maui¹s public schools. The renovation will take place during Lahainaluna High School¹s two week Spring Break with a target completion date of April 4th in order to be finished both before the students return and David Malo Day. The scope of the project includes tearing down the mail room and rebuilding a new computer lab; installing new electrical as necessary; painting the walls; replacing the floor of the computer lab and installing new carpet and baseboards in the living area. Both the girls and boys dorms are receiving new computers and furniture for the computer labs as a result of a generous donation from clients of Courtney Brown, a West Side realtor. In addition, RAM will also be replacing the door in the bathroom in the living area downstairs, rebuilding the bulletin board, and extending the glass casing area in the entry so more pictures can be hung. Lahainaluna High School will purchase the materials needed. Jeff Coleman has generously volunteered as contractor of the project. The Wishing Well Program will be working around Jeff¹s schedule and would like to thank him for all his time and efforts. Still needed are the following: An electrician to move the wiring from the wall being torn down and install new outlets if necessary after the rebuild; a flooring contractor to lay the carpet; volunteers to paint and clean up; paint, rollers and tape; anyone who has a power washer they are willing to lend for cleaning the outside; and sponsors for lunch during the two week period.
